Northern Territory Environmental Laboratories provides a
comprehensive range of analysis and sampling services for the monitoring
of water quality to the public and private sectors.
The Laboratory prides itself on the provision of quality services
and of the following sample types:
- Drinking water analysis including water treatment facility
monitoring
- Industrial liquid waste monitoring
- River, stream and waterways monitoring
- Sample collection
Trace
Metals
The company specialises in low-level trace metal analysis in surface, ground and saline environments using ICPMS.
Until recently, the analysis of trace metals at sub ppb levels in samples of brackish to hyper saline solutions has required the use of costly, highly specialised extraction techniques followed by instrumental analysis, or high resolution ICPMS instruments. NTEL now has the capacity to analyse these samples routinely using an Agilent collision cell attached to its 7500ce series ICPMS. LORs satisfy the ANSAS guidelines for disposal of waste into pristine marine environments.
Nutrients
The company also specialises in low level nutrient analysis, including speciation, in surface, ground and saline environments using FIA techniques. A recent addition to our analysis capability is Kjeldhal Nitrogen.
General Parameters
The laboratory analyses water samples for the full suite of general parameters including pH, EC, Alkalinity, TDS, TSS, Turbidity, Nutrients, Cyanide, etc
Potable Waters
To ensure that potable waters are safe for consumption. Northern Territory Environmental Laboratories offers an analytical suite tailored to suite the Australian Drinking Water Quality Guidelines. The microbiological analysis is outsourced.
