Soil Analysis

Northern Territory Environmental Laboratories has a small sample preparation laboratory separate from the main analytical laboratory for soil sampling services. It is set up to do drying, screening, crushing and pulverising of soil samples.

The laboratory specialises in various digestions varying from total dissolution to highly selective weak reagent leaches, which target specific constituents. There are a large number of digestions available to environmental scientists, some of which may not be in our repertoire, but NTEL is sufficiently flexible to accommodate most requests.

Nutrients, general parameters and or trace metals are routinely analysed on these digestions.

Biota Analysis

The laboratory analyses all types of Biota samples ranging from fish, shellfish, red meat and plants for a large number of trace metals.
